Lesson Details:
Individual piano lessons are offered for one-on-one instruction with the piano teacher. I offer a wonderful environment for optimum concentration and teaching conditions on a high quality baby grand piano.
I have worked with students of all ages and levels, from very young children just beginning piano lessons to adults of all ages.
Lessons are generally once a week in 1/2 hour or 1 hour blocks. If you prefer, lessons may be given more than once per week.
My teaching emphasis is on technique and playing music expressively. It’s an inspiration to encourage students to grow and evolve by tailoring instruction to their specific needs, while making it an enjoyable and pleasurable process.
Subjects Taught:
Beginner Level Classes (Piano), Intermediate Level Classes (Piano, Advanced Level Classes (Piano), Sight Reading, Music Theory, Beginning and Intermediate Adult classes too!
I also teach Electric Bass Guitar. I studied the String Bass with Vladimir Kalina the principal bassist of the Chicago Symphony.
Whether the purpose of studying piano is pure pleasure or preparation for recitals, auditions and national tests, Debbie adapts her teaching method and curriculum according to the specific needs of each individual student.
Solid piano technique and music foundation are provided to all students as necessary tools of expression. Creativity, musicianship and critical listening abilities are developed at all levels.
Debbie believes in cultivating the natural abilities of her students in a nurturing environment and develops a respectful teacher/student relationship.
